Dr. Lin Donates on Random Acts of Kindness Day
Dr. Lin is a dedicated doctor with a huge heart for his patients. He has participated in many philanthropic endeavors that focus on the overall health and well-being of those in need. To celebrate the Random Acts of Kindness this year, we are donating $1 for every transaction on our website! We are asking all of our customers to post yourselves spreading kindness on Twitter, FaceBook or Instagram with the tag #drlinactsofkindness. For every post, we will donate another $1.00!
To raise awareness and provide solutions for all forms of bullying, with a focus on eliminating bullying based on skin conditions, Dr. Lin founded WipeOutBullying.org. Dr. Lin suffered from terrible acne growing up and experienced bullying as a child and even into adulthood. He, himself, overcame the bullying attacks and developed a sense of self-confidence that has allowed him to become a successful member of the community. Now, Dr. Lin wants to provide his own expert insight and resources to help those that have been affected by bullying because of a visible skin condition to wipe out bullying for good!
Dr. Lin is also an active advocate in bullying prevention in his community. In 2013, he was a Champion Against Bullying for Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention Center.
Dr. Lin is also a proud supporter of the following programs:
Southern California Filipino Dental Society: The Southern California Filipino Dental Society was organized with the vision of helping young aspiring dental students financially with scholarship programs in Southern California and back home in the Philippines.
Friend Movement: Friend Movement is a multi-media arts + education company that is dedicated to celebrating friendship, building confidence, and preventing bullying. Founder and runner-up of Bravo’s hit show “Make Me A Supermodel” Ronnie Kroell and his team demonstrate their mission through a wide-variety of services to invoke inspiration and conversation.
Camp Discovery: Camp Discovery offers children living with a chronic skin condition a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Provided at no cost to the families, Camp Discovery is one week of fun for kids with conditions ranging from eczema and psoriasis, to vitiligo and alopecia, to epidermolysis bullosa and ichthyosis.
